In this course we will explore together what a healthy work environment looks like. By first exploring concepts such as contest versus cooperation, trust and meaningful conversations we will create a shared language and conceptual framework. This framework will serve as a means to analyse our own environment and helps us see what is needed for strengthening cooperation and trust within the environment/organisation we are in. By learning to have in-depth conversations, we will make an analysis of our current environment. We will then identify a small project we can plan, execute, reflect on and present.
Digital book: Moving beyond the culture of contest - available for all participants
The course consists of weekly meetings on wednesday evenings from 19-21 o’clock. The sequence will start 2 september 2020, with a short break in between. After some sessions we suggest the reading of specific literature. The purpose of the study of the literature is to raise understanding and to find the language to express our ideas and thoughts. After other sessions the participants build their capacity to engage in meaningful conversations or in the reading reality of their environment. In the latter part of the course all participants will engage in a small research project. In the 11th meeting the participants present their findings.

Assessment will be based on active participation in the seminars, the assignments and research project, and the presentation of the outcomes of the project.
Individual assignments will be given after some of the seminars. The research project will be done in pairs. No grades will be given, but participation in the assignments will be evaluated and is a prerequisite for passing the course.
