Objectives

  • Can explain variation in soil composition and its causes and its effect on plant growth.
  • Can explain how organisms such as animals, fungi, bacteria and invertebrates influence these plant-soil interactions.
  • Understands how these interactions can further shape communities and landscapes
  • Can design and test a scientific hypothesis with appropriate statistical analysis in R
  • Understands the empirical cycle, from idea, to experiment, to finished paper
