You will get to understand the basic principles and analysis techniques in AC- and DC-circuits and you will learn about solid state detectors and diodes. You will do computations on paper, construct basic circuits in the lab and conduct simulations to check your results. You will learn about photonics.

Assessment is based on participation and homework exercises, a lab journal, an in-class test on paper (only a calculator allowed), and an assignment.
