As data is increasingly central to how organizations operate, innovate, and make decisions, the ability to manage and govern data responsibly is no longer a technical concern alone—it is a strategic and societal imperative. Data Management and Governance provides students with the knowledge and skills to critically assess and design the structures that ensure data is accurate, secure, usable, and used ethically.
The goal of this course is to wrap up the courses in semester 3 of the BSc Informatiekunde. In this course, students gain hands-on experience with data management and governance, expanding on topics introduced in Moderne Databases, Regulatory Complaint Information Systems and Informatie en Kennismanagement.
