Course content

The course discusses the use of logic(s) to tackle philosophical issues, especially ones concerning metaphysics and the philosophy of language. The topics dealt with include (i) vagueness; (ii) truth (the liar paradox); (iii)  conditionals and modalities.

Objectives

  • This course equips students with technical tools to work with non-classical logics, and enables critical evaluation of how these logics model philosophical problems.

Teaching methods
