In this course, students will work on an AI-related project in a small group. In order to foster interaction with the "outside world", the projects are done in collaboration with companies whose commercial activities are connected to AI. Each company involved in the course will define a project related to a real product, application, or problem that the company needs to deal with. You and your team will work full time for one month on one of these projects, jointly supervised by a member of the host company (the client) and a TA at the university (the academic mentor).
The list of participating companies and projects on offer varies every year. Before the project period starts, the list of available projects will be made available and students will be asked to submit their preferences. On the basis of these preferences, the coordinator will allocate individual students to projects with a maximum of 5 students per project.

Eindcijfer |
This course is as much about your process (interacting professionally with your client and applying Scrum principles appropriately) as your product (your final deliverable for your client). All assessments incorporate a balance between these two aspects. More details are in the rubrics on Canvas.
Although students will receive limited direct feedback after each presentation, the weekly meetings with the TA are the moment to discuss assessments more extensively.
All work in this course is group work, oriented toward an external client's AI needs.
