1.5 EC
Semester 2, period 6
5224PSGC2Y
This course is part of the Professional Skills learning trajectory and focuses on graphic communication and facilitation.
Only words are not always attractive and long pieces of text can sometimes be more confusing than enlightening. “A picture is worth a thousand words”; in one image it can be clear what your story or message is about. Moreover, your listeners will also remember your story better when you use illustrations, because they create a mental picture of your drawings.
In this course you will overcome potential fear of drawing, learn how to best convey your story and learn about design principles (composition, colors, hierarchy text, etc.) that can be used when communicating through visuals. You will not only draw on paper, but also use graphical software to produce professionally-looking graphics and animations.
Throughout this course, you will work on a personal end project (graphical abstract, poster or short animation) allowing you to bring learned skill into practice.
(free) graphic software Gimp, Figma and LottieFiles
